Terms of Service ​

By downloading or using Inkwell, you agree to these terms.

The software ​

Inkwell is a proprietary, closed-source desktop application developed by 4Worlds. It is distributed as a compiled binary for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Free tier ​

The core Inkwell editor is free to use for personal, educational, and freelance purposes. No account, license key, or payment is required.

Pro license ​

PDF and HTML export features require a Pro license.

  • Price: $19 USD, one-time payment
  • Duration: Perpetual. Your license never expires.
  • Scope: One license per user. You may install on multiple personal devices.
  • Transferability: Licenses are non-transferable.
  • Refunds: Handled through the payment provider (Gumroad) per their refund policy.

Business license ​

Organizations with 5 or more employees require a Business license for each user.

  • Price: $100 USD per seat, one-time payment
  • Duration: Perpetual.
  • Includes: All Pro features.

Restrictions ​

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Redistribute the software binary or modified versions of it
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or license verification mechanisms
  • Use the software to develop a competing product

No warranty ​

Inkwell is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability ​

In no event shall 4Worlds be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use Inkwell.

Changes ​

We may update these terms. Continued use of Inkwell after changes constitutes acceptance.
